Yesterday was the dog Mardi Gras parade in downtown Baton Rouge. Julia really wanted to attend, well - to be IN the parade. It benefitted the local animal welfare group so it was for a good cause. We took both dogs who were sporting Mardi Gras vests, beads, and bandanas. There were a million dogs in the parade and watching it. Dogs of all sizes and shapes. The amazing thing was they were all so well behaved. I didn't see a single dispute between dogs. We s
at just watching all the dogs until it was time for the parade to roll. We managed to get in at the very end which was a good thing because we were able to skip out after about 2
0 minutes when the kids were done having fun. All in all it went well and the kids mostly had fun (aside from one 20 minute Alex fit concerning a sticker on his shirt). The dogs also enjoyed it and were quite well behaved.
